Hagerstown, MD - GST AutoLeather, Inc. today announced it has named Dennis Hiller as its new president and chief executive officer.
Hiller joins GST AutoLeather after a nearly 30-year career in the automotive components industry, including 25 years with Collins & Aikman, and most recently as chief executive officer of Guide Corporation and president and CEO of Automotive Component Systems.
"Dennis brings to GST AutoLeather the unique combination of visionary leadership and a hands-on style that has led to a very successful career," said F. Philip Handy, president and chief executive officer of GST AutoLeather's parent organization, Strategic Industries LLC. Hiller spent 25 years with Collins & Aikman, where he last served as president of North American Automotive Interior Systems, supplying the automotive industry with carpeting, accessory mats, acoustics and plastic systems. Among his responsibilities during his career at this automotive supplier were president of North American Automotive Interior Systems, president of the Carpet and Acoustics Group and president of Collins & Aikman Accessory Mats.
Most recently, Hiller was with Guide Corporation and Automotive Component Systems, two companies that shared ownership. Guide provides exterior lighting and Automotive Component Systems supplied plastic components, fascia bumpers and a variety of steel stamping systems.
